BEAUTIFUL COPENHAGEN
AND TREKRONER FORT

On August 6th 2022, Michala and Markus gave their big "I DO" to each other in Holmens Kirke (Holmens Church). Despite a few clouds, we ended up having the most beautiful afternoon and evening! The sun indeed showed up at just the right moments.

 

Mick and Mikkel had the honor of capturing Michala and Markus' big day, which was actually booked and planned on quite short notice. So even though we always recommend planning well in advance, it is indeed possible to put together a grand wedding celebration with very little notice.

 

The day started with Michala's preparations at STAY with her bridesmaids and some bubbly. From the very beginning, it was evident that the day was going to be something truly special. After the bridal preparations, the journey led to Holmens Kirke by the Copenhagen canal, where the groom, family, and friends had gathered. Michala was walked halfway up the aisle by her brother. However, midway, their father met them and escorted the bride the rest of the way to the altar. After the ceremony, everyone was escorted down to the canal where a canal boat awaited with fresh refreshments. The journey then continued to Trekroner Fort, where the rest of the day's festivities would take place.

After a beautiful boat ride on Copenhagen's canal, everyone was greeted by Trekroner Fort's staff with refreshments, and the sun also made its appearance, following a somewhat overcast morning. While the guests mingled, Mick and Mikkel took a walk with the newlyweds for some wedding portraits amidst the fort's raw and beautiful surroundings. After the portraits, there was time for various group photos before dinner commenced in the gorgeous and quite full rooms.

Dinner, as is often the case, included beautiful speeches and tales from the couple's past, all wrapped in loving well-wishes for their future. And then the program was all about the party. And what happens when you party on an island where guests can't just leave? Well, they party hard! Just watch the video if you need convincing!
