
HOW DO WE BOOK WONDERFUL WEDDINGS?
Start by sending an email HERE. If the date is available, we can arrange a no-obligation meeting. If everything aligns, we’ll finalize the booking. However, the booking is only official once a contract is signed, and the deposit is paid.
WE’RE NOT USED TO HAVING PICTURES TAKEN AND ARE AFRAID IT WILL FEEL STAGED!
Most people feel the same way! You don’t have to worry about that. Part of my job is to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera. And not just that, you’ll have fun too!
STAGED PICTURES AREN’T REALLY OUR STYLE. WE PREFER MORE NATURAL PICTURES OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
Essentially, we’ll discuss together what specific pictures you want or don’t want. Unless you specifically ask not to have portraits, I think we should at least do a short session. I say this because I believe you may regret it later if you completely skip it. I’m sure we can make it feel much less staged than you fear. And don’t worry, we’ll still capture plenty of everything else!
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Simply put, everything, depending on the package you choose. Transportation, preparatory meetings, all the best photos edited, a cinematic film, personal service, etc. For music, this also includes the necessary sound and lighting equipment for up to 150 people.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
In addition to photography and video, Wonderful Weddings can be hired to manage the music as a DJ and provide advice on timelines, speeches, etc. We also have a network of partners who can take care of invitations, menus, other printing, flowers, bridal wear, etc. Our many years in the industry mean we can help with just about everything when it comes to planning your wedding.
WHAT MUSIC DO YOU PLAY AS A DJ?
I have two criteria for the music at the party. It has to be recognizable, and it has to be dance-friendly! So it’s all the great classics, but also some of the latest hits. Otherwise, we can just talk and come to an agreement together. You’ll have plenty of input.
HOW DOES THE PLAYLIST WORK DURING DINNER, IF YOU’RE ALSO THE PHOTOGRAPHER?
I have a small, discreet system that I set up. I’ll play a playlist that suits the mood. When there are speeches, I’ll turn the music off and turn it back on once they’re done. I always coordinate with your toastmaster on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly. All of this can easily be managed while we capture beautiful shots for you. No need to worry about that.
CAN WE REQUEST SONGS IF YOU’RE HANDLING THE MUSIC?
If you’ve hired me as a DJ, it’s absolutely no problem. The same goes for your guests during the party.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU/WE GET SICK?
It hasn’t happened yet! BUT if it does, Wonderful Weddings is a team of several photographers and videographers, which is a huge advantage for you. In other words, someone from the team will take over. And you’ll always be notified, so it’s not a surprise. Just like with any other wedding, it’s still me who edits the material, so it maintains the same “look” as if I had been there. If you’ve also hired me for music, we’ll find a solution for that too. Nothing to worry about. I have many good colleagues in the music field.
HOW WILL YOU/WE DRESS ON THE DAY?
My team and I always dress presentably, blending in with your guests. At a minimum, we wear shirts and nice pants. Since we are more physically active than most guests, we may sometimes wear shorts, especially if it’s very warm. But always nice shorts paired with a shirt so we match the guests. If you need us to wear something else, let us know!
WHAT RESOLUTION WILL WE RECEIVE THE PICTURES IN?
You’ll get the files in the highest possible resolution. Some images may be cropped a little during editing, but they will be at least 3,000 pixels on the longest side, possibly even 5,000 pixels. This means they can be printed in large sizes and look great on big screens.
HOW MANY PICTURES WILL WE RECEIVE?
All the good ones! :) I don’t like to specify a number because it depends on various factors like the length of the day, whether you want portraits of all your guests, whether you have 80 or 150 people, etc. But at least 400 pictures, both in color and black & white, for an 8-hour wedding coverage.
HOW MANY OF THE PICTURES ARE EDITED?
All the pictures you receive will be edited. They will be cropped, color-adjusted, light-adjusted, etc.
CAN WE ORDER PRINTS FROM WONDERFUL WEDDINGS?
Of course! :) Wonderful Weddings offers beautiful albums, prints on paper, canvases in various sizes, etc.
WILL WE RECEIVE THE UNEDITED PICTURES?
Unfortunately, no. Unedited pictures are not finished products. We only deliver pictures that are 100% complete and perfect. Any pictures that are not delivered were discarded because they were not usable.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE WE RECEIVE THE FINAL PICTURES?
All good things are worth waiting for :) But I strive to ensure that it never takes more than 3-4 weeks. Ideally even less, especially for shorter days of coverage. BUT you will receive some pictures already the week after the wedding as a preview!
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CAMERA BREAKS ON THE DAY?
There is ALWAYS a backup camera. And extra batteries, memory cards, lenses, etc.
DO WE TALK BEFORE THE WEDDING?
I definitely think we should! It’s important that we click, as we will be spending many hours together. Besides that, I believe it’s crucial that you fully trust me and my team. This can only be achieved if we spend some time together.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE ALLOCATE FOR PORTRAITS ON THE DAY?
I advise our couples to set aside about an hour for portraits. This allows us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the moment, capturing a variety of shots. If you don’t want to spend that much time on portraits, we can adjust accordingly.
DO YOU USE THE PICTURES ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Social media is essential for my marketing as it allows us to showcase the beautiful work we do. Just like you’ve seen others’ pictures, I would love to show yours to potential clients. So the answer would be “yes.” I would really appreciate your consent. If you’re uncomfortable with this, we can simply agree to opt-out. No problem there.
