ABOUT
Professional wedding photographer/videographer, DJ, and wedding-day sidekick! But most people just call me Niko. I was born in Croatia in the mid-80's, grew up in Sweden, and have lived in Denmark since 1997. That makes me fluent in Danish, English, Croatian and Swedish. Which allows me to communicate with Norwegians, Serbs, Bosnians without switching to English. I also speak very little German... which we probably rather want to avoid me getting into! Unless you're in need of a laugh!
I've been working with weddings (music and photography) since I was 18, slowly approaching the beginning of my third decade in the industry. And I love it! These experiences drive me. Every new place, each unique tradition, and every heartfelt conversation with a stranger has offered a fresh perspective, allowing me to see the splendor of life through different cultural lenses.
When I don't work I live in beautiful Copenhagen, with the love of my life - Majka, our baby girl and our two dogs Luna and Billie. The small amount of free time that modern adult life allows, I spend on making music, a bit of gaming and playing some basketball.
As a child, I drew a lot. Even in school. In fact, I might have sometimes gotten so caught up in drawing that I forgot to pay attention, unless something really exciting was happening! So, when my childhood interest in drawing was replaced with a camera over 15 years ago, it happened on my own terms. Which means I am self-taught. And today, this is my livelihood. For as long as I can remember, I've been geeking out over films, and the entire cinematic universe immensely inspires me in my work in terms of lighting and colors. Yes, I'm the kind of person who can talk about movies for hours. And I can certainly share a lot of fun stories about various films if you ask. But let save that talk for another day :)
Combined with my natural ability to connect with people, I've truly found my calling. I take great pride in being part of your special moments, and I want to, along with my team, provide the best of what I can offer. That is, to create memories with you, capture them in photos and videos, and make them last forever. I'm deeply committed to providing excellent service and ensuring you feel trust, calm, and professionalism. I can best achieve this when we've built a genuine relationship and created a relaxed atmosphere around each other. So, let's start with a cup of coffee!
